We get to see and meet exciting and new faces everyday but we thought it might be nice if our faces became more familiar to the people we serve. So every so often, we’re going to do a “Meet The Team” feature. For our first post, Let’s meet with one of the first faces you’ll see when you walk into Zachary’s BBQ.
How long have you been part of the Zachary’s team? Since its opening 6 years ago.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and your position? Technical title: Operations Manager. I handle the front of the store. I greet customers and manage their experience. I also am responsible for hiring and interviews. This also means that I get to oversee the H&R and training aspects as well. When I’m not doing that, you can find me in the back doing product cost analysis.
What does a normal day look like to you? We open around noon so my first task of the day is to help my team get through lunch rush. Then I get to the more administrative part of my job and then I juggle both.
What’s the most exciting part about your job? Customers, Our customers are the very best and I love when we get to meet new ones.
How would you describe soul food to an alien or to someone who had never tried it?That’s easy- it’s food that makes you feel good.
What do you like most about working at Zachary’s? I like working with my parents (most of the time) that it is friendly and family oriented. It’s a close knit group of people

What is your least favorite word? Any word that involves complaining. There’s likely a solution for most things, so let’s just get to that part.
What sound or noise do you love? The sound of a soda can opening…is that weird?
What sound or noise do you hate? When people crack their back
What curse word do you love? Sh*t
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Fashion designer
What profession would you not like to do? Teacher
If heaven exist what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates? The voices of the rest of my family.
